Agenda March 7 – 8, 2016

Unit 4 Lesson 5 – Linear Equations
Standard
8.EE.6 Use similar triangles to explain why the slope m is the same between any two distinct points on a non non-vertical line in the coordinate plane; derive the equation y = mx for a line through the origin and the equation y = mx + b for a line intercepting the vertical axis at b.

Objective
SWBAT understand the relationship between the graph of a line and the slope-intercept form of the equation for that line and show mastery by completing and exit slip with 80% accuracy.
